Travel to the resort

How do I get to Fiji and then to the resort?

International flights to Fiji arrive at Nadi International Airport (NAN) with Fiji Airways (www.fijiairways.com). 
From Nadi, you take a domestic flight to Savusavu (SVU).
There are three options:
•    Fiji Link (operated by Fiji Airways) – regular scheduled flights 
•    Pacific Island Air – charter flights ([email protected]
•    Island Hoppers – charter flights ([email protected]
Alternatively, you may fly from Nadi to Labasa (LBS). From Labasa, the resort can arrange a scenic 90-minute transfer (additional cost, payable directly to the resort).
 

Will someone meet us upon arrival at Nadi International Airport?

Yes, a Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort Representative will meet you in the International Arrivals area and escort you to the Domestic Terminal.

How long is the domestic flight to Savusavu?

The flight from Nadi to Savusavu takes approximately 1 hour.

How will the Resort’s Driver identify us at Savusavu Airport?

You will receive a necklace (Cibi) upon arrival at Nadi International Airport. This helps our drivers in Savusavu identify you as resort guests.

How long is the transfer from Savusavu Airport to the resort?

The drive takes approximately 15–20 minutes.

Accommodation & General Information

Is it necessary to have cash on Hand?

All purchases at the resort can be charged to your bure. However, it is recommended to carry some cash if you plan to visit nearby villages or towns.

Do the Bures have Air-Conditioning?

Yes, all bures offer air-conditioning.

Is Wi-Fi available at the resort?

Yes.

What voltage and plug type is used in Fiji?

Fiji uses 240V with Type I plugs (same as Australia/New Zealand). Adapters may be required.

What are the offsite excursions that you arrange?

How will we know the schedule of activities for the next day?

A detailed program for the following day will be placed in your Bure during turn-down service each evening.

Family & Childcare Services

Is the nanny service included, and what are the hours?

Yes, nanny service is included, and it operates daily from 8:00am to 9:00pm 

How does the nanny service work?

•    Children 0-5 years old have a designated nanny, up to two per Bure, scheduled at different times throughout the day. 
•    Children aged 6–12 years are paired with a Fijian buddy (maximum ratio 1:6). 
•    Teenagers have access to an activities staff member, in a group setting, from 8:30am to 6:00pm

Can you provide care for children who require special attention?

Yes, our nannies and buddies are experienced in caring for children with special needs and provide safe, compassionate support.

Can we spend time with our children while they are at the Kids Bula Club?

Absolutely. Parents are always welcome to join their children at the Bula Club.

Are baby essentials (cribs, highchairs, etc.) provided?

Yes, baby essentials can be arranged upon request. 

Dining & Services

Can you cater to dietary restrictions and allergies?

Yes, we can accommodate all dietary requirements and allergies.

Are alcoholic beverages included?

No, alcoholic beverages are not included and will be charged separately.

Health & Safety

Is there a doctor at the resort?

There is no doctor on-site, but the resort can assist in contacting and/or arrange for a doctor to visit.

Are there mosquitoes or insects?

Yes. Insect Repellent is recommended and may also be provided.
