HOW MANY DIVERS CAN DIVE BOATS TAKE?
12 divers on each boat.
HOW MANY TIMES TO YOU VISIT NAMENA?
4-5 times per week. Minimum 4 divers. Weather permitting.
WHAT TIME DOES THE BOAT LEAVE FOR MORNING DIVES?
Usually between 7:00am and 8:30am, depending on the tides & weather.
WHAT TIME DO NAMENA TRIPS ARRIVE BACK AT THE RESORT?
Approximately 1:30pm. In time for a late lunch at the resort.
WILL THERE BE MANY OTHER DIVERS AT NAMENA?
No. We share the site with live-aboard yachts only.
RATING OF NAMENA?
One of the top 10 dive sites in the world.
WHAT TYPE OF DIVING CAN WE EXPECT AT NAMENA?
Mostly walls and pinnacles dives.
WHAT IS THE STAFF/DIVER RATIO?
1 dive master to maximum of 4-5 divers.
HOW LONG ARE THE DIVES TYPICALLY?
40 mins – 1 hour per single dive.
WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DOES THE DIVE CENTRE HAVE?
Oceanic BCD, Aqua lung regulator, and a range of shortie and steamer wet suits.
NIGHT DIVING?
Night diving is usually on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, beginning at sunset.
HOW MANY LOCAL DIVE/SNORKEL SITES DO YOU VISIT?
There are approximately 20 sites within a radius of 20 minutes of the resort.
CAN WE DIVE/SNORKEL FROM SHORE?
Right from the end of the pier. We provide instructions for self-guided tours of nearby reefs.
CAN CHILDREN LEARN TO DIVE?
Children from 10 years of age can learn to dive.
WHAT SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION DO YOU OFFER?
Enriched air Nitrox, Night Diving, Underwater Naturalist, Emergency Oxygen Provider, and Peak Performance Buoyancy.
WHAT IS THE WATER TEMPERATURE?
24-30°C (75-86°F) year round.
WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE?
Warm weather year round. Occasional brief rain showers.
WHAT KIND OF BOATS DO YOU HAVE?
Three custom built dive boats. These are stable and fast, capable of ½ day trips to all sites.
DO YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DIVE BEFORE ARRIVING?
We offer certification courses for beginners through all levels.
CERTIFICATION CARDS
Certified divers need to bring their certification cards in order to go diving.
